Hello again; I believe in being honest and up front about things, so yes this is the same chance inverter I told you about over a year ago. The difference is that now I have several good photos of it to share with you. 2_Folded_out.JPG
You can see it completely set up as well as in different stages of completion. 3_Lights_on.JPG
It is a 1999 model for $150000. It has all the factory updates as of September 2008. It also passed its Texas state inspection in late September. 5_Wall_down.JPG
Recently, it was at the Chance Factory to get a complete checkup. The trailer could use some paint, but the ride runs great when well maintained. 6_Back_side.JPG
This state Fair piece is currently on a small show. The owner has a spare computer drive, an Extra long lead line, and several spare mounted tires. 7_Racked.JPG
Its currently located near Wichita Kansas. This would be an excellent addition to any carnival, fun fair, amusement park, or aspiring independent ride owner. Please call me at 979-215-1770 or send an email to maxwell@midwaymarketplace.com</a with any questions. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank you, Max

Snowie Shaved Ice Carts

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; Here is an opportunity to buy some of the finest shaved ice carts in the industry in like new condition for half of what you would pay for them new.
SNOWIE.jpg
These carts come with all the bells and whistles including high capacity model 3000 Snowie shavers. They also have circular lighted signs with a built in mist spraying system. They have the self serve flavor station. And you get all the necessary items like ice scoops, flavor jugs, sugar water containers, etc. Now, the owner paid $13000 for these new. He has at least four of them he wants to sell for $6500 each. That is a incredible savings over new, but then keep this in mind. If you go to the manufacturers website, they have a statement there that some of their products have increased in price. If you are in the concession business, then these would be a great addition. And no you don’t have to buy them all. The quoted price is per cart. If you have been thinking about finding additional income or starting your own business, these would be a great place to start. Yes, I know winter is coming, but remember people still buy lots of ice cream in the winter. And you could buy them now and have several months to find the perfect location. You could use these pretty much anywhere from parades and car shows to church bazaars and school carnivals. They require a very small amount of space, and they are self contained for compliance with health codes. If you have any questions about these, feel free to call me at 979-215-1770 or email me at maxwell@midwaymarketplace.com I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, Max

Robot Boxer Jocks

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; Here is an opportunity for you to get into the amusement business or to add an established crowd pleaser and money winner to an existing business.
ROBOTIC BOXER JOCKS.JPG
A friend of mine in northeast Texas has a complete set with two robot boxers, the sixteen ft. boxing ring, and a transport trailer for $15000. This set has only 50 hours of use on them, so you are getting a vertually brand new attraction. I have contacted the manufacturer, and they told me that a new set would cost $20000. They also told me that these units can run for five hours on their 1.5 gallon fuel tanks. By clicking Here you can watch a factory video of these entertaining interactive devices. These would be a natural addition to any party rental especially since one person can completely assemble them and have them ready to operate in under 30 minutes. You could also book them into fairs, festivals, school carnivals, and church bazaars. And with a footprint of only sixteen feet, you could even take it to flea markets or possibly even set it up in a mall where the price of the space is at a premium. If you are looking to start your own business or just bring in a little extra income, these boxer jocks would be an excellent place to start. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you, Max

Mascots and Costumes, an additional source of company promotion and rental income

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; Today, I’m writing to tell you about a new addition to the midway. They aren’t brand new as I’ve had their products on the site for a while now, but I wanted to wait until I could show you more of their work before posting about them here.
P1030432 b.jpg
The company is Unlimited Character Creations, and they are a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of high quality costume mascots, costume characters, Sports Mascots, Bespoke Costumes, Clown Clothes, Clown Shoes, Hand painted Backdrops and Table Cloths, Cotillon, Hats, Cold Porcelain favors, and much more.
Dino in Action 6.jpg
Now, I know many of you are wondering how does this fit in with an amusement based company like mine. Many more of you are thinking how does this apply to me and my business. So, lets talk about it a minute. First, there are many established amusement parks in the country who already have mascots and costumed characters who may need an additional source for these products. Then there are many smaller family owned amusement parks and family entertainment centers that have at least thought about having a mascot or some costumed characters to interact with the kids at birthday parties. There are zoos and aquariums that have mascots or they could. Obviously, there are thousands of high school, college, university, and professional sports teams that might have a need for these too. But this is just the tip of the ice berg.
Direct TV costume b.jpg
You see a mascot is an excellent way of creating brand identification. You create a fun representative of your company that can appear at any public event to promote your business. This could be anything from a dentist’s practice to an automobile repair shop. It could be a beauty salon, a ice cream parlor, a car dealership, or a restaurant chain. There are even some malls and shopping complexes that have characters associated with them. The internet is crowded, print ads rarely get seen, radio and television are expensive; but this is a relatively inexpensive way to give your company an identity and a public presence.
P1030552.JPG
Just think about it. At the next parade, that could be your company’s mascot riding in a car and waving on television. Your character could be part of radio remotes broadcasts. At the next town festival or city event it could be your employees or even you dressed up and handing out coupons or just saying hello. You can trademark your item and use it in t-shirts, cups, mouse pads, hats, etc. And for the party rental companies you could charge extra for costume characters or you could offer them as part of a package giving your company a competitive edge on the other businesses in your area.
100_4516 b.jpg
I’ve done my best to cover the reasons why any business not just those in the amusement industry can benefit from using mascots and costumed characters, but I’ve just scratched the surface. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. And the fine people at Unlimited Character Creations can make your dreams into realities. They are well equipped to create a totally new design from an existing photo, a sketch, or your raw ideas. And while they do charge for the process, their mascots are relatively inexpensive as is the design process. The items I’ve shown in this post are all available for under $300 plus shipping and handling. Feel free to call me at 979-215-1770 or send me an email to maxwell@midwaymarketplace.comI hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank you, Max

Several new game trailers now on the site

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; As you can tell I’m catching up on my posts here. For that reason I have three game trailers to mention today. Today I will be telling you about a crossbow trailer, a spectacular basketball trailer, and a unique vender’s trailer.
Cross bow 1989.JPG
This is a 1990 four station crossbow game trailer in excellent condition for $10000. The owner has gone through it recently adding new carpets, breaks, and tires. It is located in Connecticut and is in use in the northeast for the rest of the season or until a buyer is found. It is stocked with prizes and spare parts for the game. This would be a good trailer for any size midway. It could also be a second income. You would have no trouble booking this into local festivals and promotional events. And I could even see it as part of a corporate rental fleet.
Basketball NY 233.jpg
Next, we have a truely spectacular basketball game trailer for $30000. This is a 2006 model, and it too is in use and ready to work right now. I’m awaiting more photos of this one. But as you can see here, this one is a real eye catcher. And just to help you get a better picture in your mind, you need to know that when set up for operation this game is over 25 feet in height. The backdrop is beautifully painted. It can hand up to five players at a time which is good because this baby is going to draw a crowd no matter how many games it is competing against. Its a twenty ft long trailer when traveling. The owner will give a discount for a completely cash purchase. This piece is gorgeous and would be at home any where from an amusement park to a family carnival. When I get more photos, I’ll post them on my website.
002.jpg
And finally, we have this 1998 Pace specialty vender’s trailer for $8750. This trailer is ready to be picked up and go to work. It is a beauty openning on three sides. It has counters that wrap all the way around. It has loads of shelving up top for storage or displaying merchandise. But the best feature of this trailer is that it is expandable to 32 feet. This can be done in under an hour without any real strain. This piece would be great for straight sales or as a game trailer. You could work all three sides, or you could partition it and work two sides. I could even see a rental company putting four or five small games in it giving them the option of offering their customers a flashier option. At that price though this one isn’t going to last long. Its located in Burlington, North Carolina. You can see more photos of these fine trailers or view many other nice used and new pieces of amusement equipment at my website The Midway Marketplace. And if you have any questions about anything mentioned here or on my site, don’t hesitate to email me at maxwell@midwaymarketplace.com or call me at 979-215-1770. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank you, Max

Two great party rental items

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; If you own a party rental business, or if you have ever thought about starting one; here are two perfect pieces for the rental market. First, there is a Sampson kiddie helicopter ride for $8500.
Helicopter.JPG
This ride is in like new condition. The owner has completely gone through this ride. He removed the paint down to the bare metal and then powder coated the entire ride. The copters are each powder coated a different color. The electrical wiring has been updated to pass state of Illinois standards including emergency shut offs for both the motor that spins the center and the hydraulics that raise the cars up and down. The ride has even been modified so the tubs go down the road in their up position making it even easier to get ready for operation once you get to the event location. And you can pull it with any vehicle that has a two inch trailer ball. This would be a fine addition to any birthday party fleet.
000_0157.JPG
And second we have a Galactic spinner orbitron. This ride is a staple of the rental industry. These units were originally designed by NASA in the 1990’s. The owner tells me they were originally built to simulate space flight. I don’t know about that, but I do know they are a big hit at parties and provide lots of fun to people of all ages. The recommended minimum age is three years old, but it can handle people up to 6 ft. 4 and 225 lbs. Again it doesn’t take a heavy truck to move, and there is almost no set up involved. This is a very nice one for $4000. It is located in Georgia and is ready to work. I’m told it has had new paint and upholstery since this photo, and I expect more photos of it next week.
Galactic Spinner.jpg
I will be posting them on my website The Midway Marketplace And if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me at maxwell@midwaymarketplace.com or give me a call at 979-215-1770. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank you, Max

Super Telecombat, gorgeous new used ride on the site.

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; I just received this item at the midway. It is a 16 arm or sweep Super Telecombat for 175000 euros. It is a truly impressive piece that is in almost perfect condition and ready to work. It does take two trailers to move this ride and the better part of the day to set up and take down; but it will be well worth the time and effort. It does also take 85 kw worth of electricity to operate it. This ride would be a great addition to a independent ride operator’s inventory. It would also fit in in just about any size amusement park. While you can’t really appreciate this unit from looking at the photos, I do hope you will check out the slide show of this ride. The link is Here. I’m hopeful that seeing work like this will eventually start to encourage people planning to sell an item or even thinking about it to take the photos or video that will help people want to buy their equipment. In a buyers market its all about getting people’s attention. At the midway I’m willing to consider any methods if I think it will help my clients to sell their items as quickly as possible. Please let me know what you think of the slide shows and videos on my site. Also, what would you think of someone recording a description of their ride, game, food trailer, attraction, etc in their own words? I hope to hear from some of you soon. Thank you, Max

Slide Shows, another way of showing off your equipment.

10 03/2008 by Max's Midway Marketplace

Hello Friends; I just learned something new, and I wanted to share it with you. A friend of mine showed me how to create slide shows using Iphoto on my Mac. This will give me another tool to offer people considering posting their equipment on my website. If they don’t have a video, they can send me a big batch of photos; and I can put up a slide show movie for them. I did my first one to showcase a relatively new ride from the Top Fun Group called the Spinfly. You can check out my work by clicking Here It lasts about a minute and a half and has some catchy music from the big band era. Please let me know what you think. I was thinking that for example a ride owner could take photos of the set up process showing each step and letting potential buyers see what they are getting in to by purchasing it. Also, they could take photos of their ride, game trailer, inflatable, attraction, etc at full daylight, twilight, and full dark. And for rides like funhouses, spook houses, or dark rides you could show each spook or trick from beginning to end of the ride. Basically, the possibilities are only limited by the imagination of the seller and the number and quality of the photos they can provide. Naturally, video would always be better, but a good slide show could be a very affective alternative. I hope to hear from some of you soon. Thanks, Max
